Medical City Dallas is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team for the overnight shift. This is a full-time position with a 7 on/7 off schedule, working from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Job Summary and Qualifications

This is a Full Time Over Night shift position (8:30pm - 7:00am, 7 on/7 off). Our Clinical Pharmacists provide general clinical and operational pharmacy services, including the supervision of technical staff. A commitment to service, safety, and professionalism is essential for delivering an excellent patient experience.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Interpret and accurately transcribe or verify orders in the pharmacy computer system.
• Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
• Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and appropriateness of dose.
• Suggest appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic medication alternatives to medical staff.
• Sustain the hospital formulary, minimize nonformulary procurements, and promote rational drug therapy selection through therapeutic interchanges.
• Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients.
• Assist with antimicrobial management and other clinical programs.
• Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately.
• Complete notification reports for medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
• Participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians.
• Maintain professional competency to meet current and future facility needs.
• Apply knowledge of the patient population served to patient care.
• Provide basic technical support for automated dispensing machines and pharmacy computer systems.
• Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and support the pharmacy team.
• Comply with facility pharmacy schedules, including physical presence in patient care areas to interact with medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Proactively intervene in conflicts regarding drug therapy issues with medical staff.
• Comply with all regulatory standards.
• Prioritize work and lead others to comply with medication turn-around time policies and procedures.
• Identify areas for improved efficiency.
• Supervise and assist pharmacy technicians and support staff effectively.
• Act as supervisor in charge as assigned.
• Participate in the continuous quality improvement of pharmacy operations (operational/clinical).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the TX State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 1 year hospital experience preferred.
