Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Medical City Arlington is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department, working nights (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) with rotating weekends. A sign-on bonus of up to $25,000 may be available.
Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, your contributions to patient care are valued and empowered. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to deliver individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” You will serve as an advocate for patients and families, embodying the organization’s commitment to an unparalleled patient experience and superior clinical outcomes.
- Assess patient pain regularly and implement effective pain management strategies.
- Perform procedures and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document care provided in the patient medical record accurately and promptly.
- Respond to patient requests and anticipate needs proactively.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-management strategies, translating complex medical terminology for understanding.
What Qualifications You Will Need
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 6 months of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 18 months of employment.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of employment.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- No Travel Required.
