Maricopa County Elections is hiring Temporary Recruiters for our Recruitment Office in Mesa, Arizona. Temporary Election Workers who meet eligibility requirements can earn a $1,250 One-Time Retention Incentive.

We Require
- Two years of experience in office, administrative, and clerical duties (Administration, Recruitment, HR, Elections, or similar).
- High school diploma or GED.
- An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Other Requirements
- Must be a registered voter in Arizona or able to become one by hire.
- Must pass an applicable background screening.
- Ability to work irregular hours and shifts based on departmental needs.
- Must have an Arizona state driver’s license by the time of hire.
- Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Working Conditions
- Full-time/Temporary/Holiday/Weekends/Overtime is mandatory during the election cycle.
- Work environment is a high-volume, fast-paced business office setting.
- Requires ability to manage multiple screens with small font while taking calls.
- Work is primarily sedentary for extended periods.
- Must collaborate with peers and work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Requires travel to Downtown Phoenix (MCTEC) office on Election Day and other locations as needed.
- Telework is not available.
- Must not engage in any political discussion.
