R&D Project Manager Role Overview:
Our R&D department, responsible for developing the company's next-generation products through innovative technologies, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a strong technical background to lead and oversee the research and development of new products. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the successful development and launch of cutting-edge products, specifically Class III medical devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead prototype development projects, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and manage a multi-disciplinary team including Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, System Integrators, and SQA Engineers, depending on project needs.
- Manage relationships with contractors and collaborate across various functions within the organization.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring efficient execution aligned with upcoming milestones.
- Communicate project status, business opportunities, and challenges to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all relevant regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality teams to advance project milestones such as submissions and regional launches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary systems; experience in medical device development is a significant advantage.
- Experience leading development processes from conception through to product delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations and standards, especially for Class III devices- an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English.
- Strong decision-making capabilities, especially under uncertainty.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects involving cross-functional teams.
