The Software Engineer Intern will support Dr. Anders Chan (Director of Systems Optimization) in the design, development, and maintenance of internal tools and web-based applications that enhance therapy, assessment, and research workflows. See flyer for more information.Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar).
- Experience or coursework in Software Development and Back-End Web Development, such as building APIs, working with databases, or integrating services.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to write clear, maintainable code; use version control systems (e.g., Git); and follow collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Interest in mental health, healthcare technology, or building tools that support equitable care is highly beneficial.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a hybrid setting.
