About the role
Innovation Brand Manager
Golden Pet Brands is seeking a highly strategic and entrepreneurial Innovation Brand Manager to lead the development and launch of new products and brands within our growing pet food portfolio. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a senior, high-visibility role with significant autonomy and ownership. This individual will operate like a “founder within the company,” responsible for identifying opportunities, developing innovative product concepts, and bringing them to market. The ideal candidate combines strong brand instincts with hands-on product development experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), particularly in consumable categories.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead end-to-end innovation for new product lines—from concept ideation through commercialization.
- Identify whitespace opportunities through consumer insights, trends, and competitive analysis.
- Develop compelling brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally with R&D, operations, supply chain, and external partners to bring products to life.
- Manage product development timelines, budgets, and key milestones.
- Own packaging, pricing strategy, and product architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure strong market entry and sustained growth.
- Continuously evaluate product performance and iterate based on data and consumer feedback.

- 5–8+ years of experience in brand management, innovation, or product development within CPG.
- Strong experience in consumable goods (e.g., food, beverage, supplements, or similar categories).
- Proven track record of launching new products from concept to market.
- Highly strategic thinker with the ability to execute and operate independently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with high ownership.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of experience required; 7+ years preferred.
