About the role
Integration Engineer
FedEx Logistics is seeking a talented Integration Engineer to collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to onboard clients and deliver seamless EDI/API integration services for Freight Forwarding and Brokerage domains. This role supports B2B and B2C interfacing, working with various departments including IT, Ops Excellence, Product Development, Business Implementation, Operations Support, Customer Experience, and Commercial Sales. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry experience in freight forwarding, a strong understanding of systems and processes, and hands-on knowledge of EDI/API message sets common in these domains. You will act as a vital link between technology and operations, providing expertise to technology and development teams while maintaining clear communication with sales and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive successful customer onboarding, growth, and retention through effective EDI/API integration services across FXL Air and Ocean forwarding and brokerage domains globally.
- Engage directly with customers, work with the Product Manager to understand and prioritize customer demands, and ensure requirements are accurately captured and translated.
- Partner with Process/Integration and Solutions teams to develop integration solutions, handing them over to IT for efficient implementation.
- Manage all stages of the integration process, from initial customer calls and IT communication to integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Operations, and final system publishing.
- Perform business analysis to create clear integration requirements, map fields from source to target, and interpret integration specifications for EDIFACT/X12.
- Work with API (JSON/XML) based interfaces and test endpoints using tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Utilize Agile methodology to develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate effectively with IT development teams, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Write UAT and end-to-end test scripts and provide support during testing phases.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in freight forwarding and logistics onboarding.
- Proficiency with EDI/API common message sets including EDIFACT, X12, JSON, XML, and text.
- Experience with integration services commonly used in freight forwarding and brokerage, defining capabilities and working with IT for delivery.
- Experience with CargoWise is preferred.
- Proven track record of project completion and exceeding results.
- Strong ability to manage priorities, demands, escalations, and process optimization.
- Customer-centric mindset with the ability to empathize with customer needs.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and human relations skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment is a must.

This is a remote position with standard business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday).
