About the role
Product Manager I - Elastic Products
We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Product Manager I to support risk-driven product initiatives within our Elastic Products portfolio. This role will play a critical part in advancing acquisition strategies, supporting growth opportunities, and ensuring strong alignment with our external bank partner.
This position is designed to address increasing business demands and capacity constraints by providing dedicated ownership of risk-related product initiatives. The ideal candidate will partner cross-functionally with Credit Risk, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and our bank partner to deliver high-quality, timely, and compliant solutions.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. A strong foundation in financial services, lending, and risk management is highly preferred.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of product strategy with a focus on risk initiatives and acquisition growth
- Gather and document detailed business requirements to support product enhancements and new initiatives
- Own and contribute to underwriting (UW) policy updates, validations, and documentation to ensure alignment with risk strategy and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain bank-facing materials, including presentations and documentation required for partner approvals
- Drive cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Partner closely with Credit Risk to analyze performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Monitor product performance and key metrics, including risk indicators and initiative impact
- Conduct impact analysis to support decision-making and prioritization of initiatives
- Coordinate across internal stakeholders (Risk, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Technology) to ensure alignment and execution readiness
- Support and maintain strong working relationships with external bank partners, ensuring clear communication and efficient approval processes
- Identify and escalate risks, bottlenecks, or delays that may impact delivery timelines
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned product areas, providing guidance and support across the organization
- Assist Product Owners and engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation and delivery
Experience And Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; strong academic performance preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in product management, financial services, risk, or related field preferred
- Experience in lending, underwriting, or credit risk environments strongly preferred
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus
