The Site Manager is responsible for the successful execution of onsite activities, from pre-mobilization through project demobilization.
As a leader of project onsite execution, the Site Manager is the driving force behind the coordination of different Dematic teams and Customer teams. This role is part of the project management network.

Summary of Responsibilities
Pre-Mobilization
Off-site responsibilities during preparation for onsite execution include reviewing scheduled onsite activities with the overall PM, Portfolio IPM/Superintendent, Installation teams, Commissioning teams, and Site Services team. Responsibilities also include updating project documentation with a focus on effective and efficient onsite project execution, including:
- Site Safety and Training
- Resource Planning
- Whiteboard Preparation
- Materials Management Plan
- Communication and Organization Plan
- Quality Plan
- Risks and Mitigation Plan
Validate Pre-Mobilization Checklists and conduct Project Site Survey. Coordinate all required Site and Rental Equipment and ensure insurance documentation is in place.
General Site Management Activities
For the duration of the project, responsibilities include achieving project SQCDP critical metrics, managing the site budget and whiteboard, developing and maintaining the Site evacuation plan, and managing daily registers. Additional duties include providing onsite office/meeting space and necessary amenities, coordinating with local jurisdiction inspectors, and handling environmental management.
Installation
Manage Site and Installation Execution. This includes conducting Site Safety Training and regulatory checks, ensuring safety standards for the installation scope of work, coordinating quality and materials management onsite activities, and coordinating material deliveries and performing regular inventory audits. The role also involves leading Site coordination of weekly/monthly planning and daily meetings, handling all onsite communication with the Customer, ensuring timely reporting to the PM, and coordinating readiness for commissioning activities and verifying punch lists close out.
Commissioning
Transition to leading SIM and Engineering teams during Commissioning. Responsibilities include conducting Site Safety Training and regulatory checks, continuing to coordinate quality and materials management onsite activities, leading weekly/monthly activity planning and daily meetings. The role also involves handling onsite communication with the Customer, coordinating customer acceptance testing, preparing customer sign-off acceptance documentation, and coordinating onsite Customer Training.
Project Closeout
Demobilize the site by returning excess material and rental equipment, managing scrap, and ensuring the completion of all activities. Update Lessons Learned.
Education
- B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Logistics, Business or related field. Equivalent experience may waive the education requirement.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years in Project or Site Management within construction/industrial installation.
- Experience with automated electro-mechanical systems installation and commissioning.
- Proven leadership in safety management and excellent communication skills.
- Strong team-building skills and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of materials inventory management principles and MRP/ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
