About the role
Sales Development Manager
Are you a commercially driven professional with a passion for building strong customer relationships and identifying new market opportunities?
Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for a proactive and result-oriented Sales Development Manager, who can identify new sales opportunities and expand their share in existing accounts within the Hydrostatics Division for our OEM customer base.
In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders across business units, technical teams, and external partners to drive strategic initiatives and develop new business opportunities. This position offers international exposure, a collaborative culture, and exciting growth potential.
This is a hybrid position, with the ideal candidate preferably located near Plymouth, MN or Ames, IA. You can expect regular domestic travel (up to 25%) and very limited international travel. This position does include a company car and travel reimbursement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drive new business development growth by identifying new opportunities and supporting strategic accounts across targeted regions and channels.
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and product teams to deliver tailored value propositions to OEM and distribution partners.
- Lead strategic customer engagements and support local sales teams in key negotiations and project pursuits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across new and existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity data within CRM systems (Salesforce).
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related work experience and discipline.
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience from an industrial manufacturing environment, ideally within the fluid conveyance industry.
- Proven ability to drive customer growth and build strategic relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and customer-centric mindset.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce), MS Office, and ideally SAP.
