About the Role
Convergint is seeking an enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of customer and subcontractor contracts, ensuring adherence to company standards, legal requirements, and customer obligations. The Contracts Manager will act as the primary escalation point for complex negotiations, drive process consistency, and provide direct supervision, coaching, and development to Contract Managers, Contract Specialists, and Contract Administrators.
Important Note: This role requires the incumbent to reside in either the Pacific (PST) or Mountain (MT) time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review and negotiation of complex project-specific contracts, purchase orders, subcontracts, NDAs, lien-related documents, insurance requirements, and upstream/prime agreements, within legal department guidelines.
- Draft, revise, and negotiate contract addendums aligned with company standards and specific project needs.
- Determine when legal review is necessary and manage the intake, document compilation, iReview submission, and follow-through process.
- Identify, assess, and communicate contractual risks to leadership and project teams.
- Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on contract strategy, risk tolerance, and customer requirements.
- Ensure the complete, accurate, and timely processing of all contract documents, including intake, consolidation, negotiation, signature routing, and repository management for the assigned region.
- Oversee the maintenance of contract logs, trackers, dashboards, and reporting within the assigned region.
- Ensure proper utilization of iReview and validate document histories and uploads.
- Establish and enforce contract workflow standards.
- Directly supervise Contract Managers and Contract Administrators/Specialists, providing day-to-day guidance on workload, priorities, and deadlines.
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop growth plans for team members.
- Review team members’ work for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of contract team personnel, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, high-performance team environment.
- Oversee Certificate of Insurance (COI) requests and assist with more complex requests.
- Coordinate bid, performance, payment, warranty, and guaranty bonds.
- Ensure adherence to customer-specific insurance, bonding, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee preliminary notice filings, tracking, lien processes, and coordination with internal groups.
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage obligations, DAS filings, apprenticeship notices, wage determinations, and CPR tracking.
- Support subcontractor vetting and onboarding processes.
- Monitor government contracting requirements and ensure CTC compliance.
- Act as a senior liaison between customers, Sales, Operations, Legal, and customers, maintaining strong customer relationships through timely communication.
- Support Sales and Operations with RFP reviews, prequalification submissions, and portal administration.
- Assist with advanced project-specific compliance and documentation requirements.

Requirements

- Minimum Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in contract management or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing team members.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, construction/service contracting, insurance, bonding, and compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with contract management systems, tracking tools, and customer portals.
Preferred Experience (but Not Required)
- Experience leading a contract team in construction or technology integration.
- Familiarity with Convergint systems and processes.
- Experience with government contracting and prevailing wage compliance.
