Job Profile Summary
As a Product Manager at Clarus, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of pet insurance technology by bringing innovative, customer-centric solutions to market. This role will lead product initiatives from concept through launch, partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Marketing to deliver meaningful business impact and exceptional user experiences.

You will help prioritize opportunities, translate customer and market insights into actionable requirements, and drive the successful delivery of scalable solutions that improve outcomes for veterinary teams, pet parents, and industry partners.
Job Description
- Product Execution & Delivery: Collaborate with the Director of Product to execute product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Customer & Market Insights: Conduct user research, gather customer feedback, and analyze market trends to inform product decisions and identify opportunities.
- Requirements & Documentation: Translate business needs into clear product requirements for design and engineering teams.
- Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, UI design, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure smooth product development and successful launches.
- Quality & Performance Monitoring: Support testing, QA, and post-launch analysis to ensure product quality and performance meet expectations.
- Go-to-Market Support: Assist in preparing product documentation, training materials, and internal communications to enable effective product launches.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, insurance technology, or related digital platforms
- 5+ years professional experience
- Previous experience launching new commercial products or features
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work and negotiate effectively across teams
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., ADO, Jira, Aha!)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions
- Technical aptitude required—this role will be working with engineers daily
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance industry (P&C, life, health, or embedded insurance). Pet health or pet insurance experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with APIs, digital transformation initiatives, or InsurTech platforms
Education
- Must meet one of the following requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
- Associate’s Degree in a Technical Field
- Certification in relevant focus area

Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments and seeks guidance on projects/assignments of higher complexity. May provide guidance and assistance to entry-level professionals and/or support employees.
