Job Summary
As an Electrical Technician, you'll be responsible for a range of electrical trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment used in electricity generation, distribution, and utilization. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of various electrical systems and components.
Primary Job Functions
- Install and repair diverse electrical equipment like generators, transformers, switchboards, and motors, based on blueprints or specifications, working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve electrical system issues.
- Perform load requirement computations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize electrician's tools and test instruments proficiently.
- Possess rounded expertise typically acquired through formal apprenticeship or licensure.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members and assist as needed.
- Execute additional tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.
Education, Experience And Certification
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Education Required.
- Electrical Journeyman License Required.
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, and perform constant arm extensions. Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where the likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc. Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NAC/LAC clearance after hire.
