Global Commercial Contracts Director
Barnes Aerospace is seeking a strategic and experienced Global Commercial Contracts Director to lead commercial management for major OEM customers. This role is crucial for achieving site business objectives, driving sustainable, profitable growth, and ensuring alignment on contracts and terms.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and own the commercial management strategy for major OEM customers to achieve profitable growth.
- Create business cases and provide analytical support for OEM bids, master term agreements, and long-term agreements.
- Collaborate with sales, general management, and legal teams to negotiate customer agreements, ensuring profitability and favorable terms.
- Define product portfolio and capability strategies for OEM customers, addressing needs with existing and new Barnes Aerospace capabilities.
- Support business development by defining compelling offerings, value propositions, and marketing materials, with legal support for unique terms.
- Mentor customer service and senior management on handling complex customer or contractual issues.
- Review customer communications to ensure contract compliance and identify opportunities for commercial improvement.
- Evaluate the profitability of active contracts with major OEM customers and develop commercial strategies with engineering, operations, and supply chain to address issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial/contract management experience in aerospace engine manufacturing.
- Strong data analytics skills with the ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using technology for workload management, especially in a remote setting.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Salesforce knowledge is beneficial.
- Must possess a valid US Passport or legal permanent residency in the US.
- Up to 50% travel required.
