Technical Project Manager
This Technical Project Manager will lead a high-visibility finance systems transformation for a major media and publishing organization. The role demands a hands-on and execution-focused approach, requiring strong technical judgment and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under a fixed delivery deadline.
Responsibilities
- Own the master program plan, coordinating technical dependencies across finance and IT systems.
- Run an agile delivery cycle for iterative data remediation.
- Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and scope adjustments as issues evolve.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between Finance leadership, IT teams, external advisory firms, system implementers, and executive sponsors.
- Run a weekly operating cadence including workstream standups, dependency reviews, and executive-level status reporting.
- Maintain a proactive risk and issue log, escalating blockers before they impact the critical path.
- Ensure all workstreams are fully documented, tested, and audit-ready to support a Q1 2027 external audit.
Essential Skills
- 6-10 years of project management experience on finance systems, ERP implementation, or data remediation programs.
- Proficient in SAP, program management, agile, scrum, and financial systems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- PMP certification.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration experience.

Work Environment
This position is 100% remote with quarterly travel to New York City for important meetings. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Finance, IT, and external partners.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
