About the role
About the Role
ADT is seeking a driven and assertive Tech Engineer Team Manager to lead a dynamic team of 10-15 Tech Engineers (TEs). This hybrid sales and technical role involves conducting in-home consultations, recommending ADT's security and smart home solutions, and ensuring a world-class customer onboarding and installation experience. You will also be responsible for driving ADT growth through self-generated sales and install appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Tech Engineers, focusing on sales and operational KPIs.
- Nurture a high-performing team culture through effective training, hiring, onboarding, and retention programs.
- Take a 'hands-on' approach to driving team performance and market growth.
- Plan, implement, and manage the activities of the Tech Engineer workforce within a designated geographic area.
- Train, mentor, develop, motivate, and coach TEs on lead generation, upselling, consultative sales, and smart home installations.
- Build relationships between new customers and the ADT brand.
- Participate in recruiting and hiring new Tech Engineers.
- Develop business plans for cost-efficient service and targeted growth.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate policies, procedures, product updates, promotions, and review metrics.
- Perform regular coaching and formal performance management for TEs.
- Ensure high quality and timely job completions for customer retention.
- Model and champion ADT values, creating a safe environment for issue resolution.

Experience and Skills
- 3-5 years of people leadership experience, managing customer-facing teams in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Proven track record of building and developing high-performing, customer-centric teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in consultative selling and customer education.
- Highly analytical and a strong conceptual problem-solver.
- Driven and entrepreneurial, able to manage diverse teams and achieve targets with minimal oversight.
Education
Associate degree or equivalent related experience.

- Base Salary: $53,667 per year
- Targeted Earning Potential: $125,000 (including salary and commission)
