About the role
Environmental Project Manager (NYC Metro Area)
Make an impact on some of NYC’s most complex remediation projects.
We’re partnering with a growing environmental consulting firm with a strong backlog of work across NYC. They are looking to bring on an Environmental Project Manager who can lead high-profile investigation and remediation efforts while building strong client relationships and helping shape the future of their practice.
This is an opportunity to step into a visible, client-facing role where you’ll manage projects from investigation through closure across the five boroughs, working closely with agencies like NYSDEC and NYC OER.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead environmental investigation and remediation projects from start to finish, including Phase I/II ESAs and remedial design/implementation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owning communication, timelines, and deliverables
- Prepare and review key regulatory submittmits (RAWP, SMP, work plans, closure reports)
- Oversee field activities including soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations, as well as construction/remediation oversight
- Manage project financials (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing) to keep work on track and profitable
- Coordinate with subcontractors, field teams, and internal staff across multiple concurrent projects
- Support proposals and help drive continued growth of the practice

- 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a focus on remediation and site investigation
- Strong understanding of NYSDEC and NYC OER programs and regulatory processes
- Proven experience managing projects, clients, and budgets
- Hands-on technical experience (sampling, CAMP, construction oversight)
- Strong report writing skills across Phase I/II ESAs and remedial documents
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER; SST preferred

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
