About the role
Electrician
The Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs, and electrical installations in large commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site.
- Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures, or wiring in floors, walls, and ceilings.
- Install, inspect, and test electrical systems.
- Perform installations which include but are not limited to panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment, and power supply wiring.
- Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Report work orders, scheduled jobs, and work progress to a foreperson.
- Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- One (1) year of experience as an electrician required; on-the-job training provided.
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
- Must possess an apprentice electrician's license in the state, county, or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience as an electrician is preferred.
- Prior experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
