What you need
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship or technical program preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems in an industrial, commercial, or field service environment
- Experience with at least one low voltage system type: IP video/VMS, access control, intrusion alarms, structured cabling, or AV systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and P&IDs
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required
Nice to have
- Journeyman Electrician license
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction/General Industry certification
- NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety training
- Experience with DCS/SCADA/PLC systems; working knowledge of 4–20 mA loops, HART protocol, and analog/digital signal troubleshooting
- Industry certifications such as BICSI, ESA/NTS, Lenel OnGuard, Genetec, or Axis
