What you need

4–7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, SQL development, reporting, data engineering, or related fields
Advanced SQL expertise, including query optimization, performance tuning, indexing, and execution plans
Experience with Oracle SQL and/or PostgreSQL
Strong data modeling experience, including normalized (3NF) and dimensional/star schema design
Experience building or supporting data warehouses and ETL/data integration processes
Hands-on experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or similar

Nice to have

Experience with cloud data platforms and modern ETL/ELT tools
Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar in a professional environment
Experience supporting ERP, SIS, HRMS, or Finance systems
Prior exposure to Higher Education technology or Ellucian solutions (Banner, Colleague, ODS, EDW) is a plus, but not required
