About this role
The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will support the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) by maintaining the cybersecurity posture of assigned information systems and ensuring compliance with Department of War cybersecurity policies. Daily responsibilities include supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, monitoring security controls, and coordinating with various stakeholders to enforce cybersecurity measures. The role also involves conducting audits, vulnerability scans, and delivering cybersecurity training to system users.

What you need
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related discipline, and/or 8+ years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, and RMF processes
- At least 2 years of experience conducting IT application, system, or network reviews and providing DoW cybersecurity policy and technical guidance
- Meet DoDM 8140.03 qualification requirements for the applicable DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) work role and proficiency level
Nice to have
- Certification aligned to DoDM 8140.03 / DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework
- Familiarity with zero-trust requirements/concepts
- Experience with VMWare (vSphere, vCenter, NSX, ESXi)
- Knowledge of RHEL (Ansible, Kubernetes, StackRox, OpenShift)
- Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud technologies and containerization
