- Medical Assistant certification from a nationally recognized certifying body (currently active or active within the last 6 months)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credential from a nationally recognized certifying body (currently active or active within the last 6 months)
- Graduation from a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting body
- Completion of Medical Assistant training through the U.S. Armed Forces
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture techniques or vaccine administration
