What you need
- Associate degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship, military technical training, or equivalent practical experience in instrumentation, controls, electronics, electrical technology, industrial automation, or a related field
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with industrial instrumentation, control systems, test systems, process facilities, or similar equipment
- Experience installing, calibrating, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, instrument data sheets, and equipment manuals
- Familiarity with common industrial signals and protocols, including 4–20 mA, discrete I/O, HART, and Ethernet-based communications
- Experience using calibration and diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, process calibrators, pressure calibrators, loop simulators, communicators, and electrical test equipment
Nice to have
- Strong familiarity with the Emerson DeltaV distributed control system
- Experience supporting thermal-hydraulic, mechanical, chemical, high-temperature, high-pressure, or liquid-metal test systems
- Experience working in nuclear, aerospace, defense, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, power generation, or another highly regulated industry
- Familiarity with ASME NQA-1 requirements
