What you need
- High School Diploma or GED
- Automotive technician degree, certification, or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of automotive diagnostic, repair, quality, testing, or technical investigation experience
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems and diagnostic methodologies
- Experience diagnosing complex vehicle concerns with scan tools, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related diagnostic equipment
- Knowledge of electric vehicle architecture, including High Voltage and Low Voltage systems and EV powertrains
Nice to have
- ASE certification; ASE Master Technician certification is highly desirable
- EPA Section 609 certification
- Previous OEM Master Technician certification
- Previous experience with electric vehicle diagnosis and repair
- Working knowledge of CAN bus, automotive Ethernet, and vehicle communication protocols
