About this role
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Gustie Assist team, you will design and build the Otto platform, an AI agent that assists support advocates in solving complex customer issues related to payroll and compliance. Your role will involve working across the full stack, from backend services to customer-facing products, and you'll be responsible for expanding the agent's capabilities while ensuring safety and reliability. Additionally, you'll mentor other engineers and collaborate with various teams to translate customer needs into actionable solutions.

- Typically 8+ years of software engineering experience, owning systems end-to-end
- Experience building and shipping LLM-powered or agentic systems in production
