About this role
The Associate Mechanical Systems Engineer will support the design and development of aircraft modifications and installations related to various mechanical systems. This role involves applying engineering principles and CAD tools to develop designs, reviewing specifications, selecting materials, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and FAA regulations. The engineer will work under the guidance of experienced personnel and participate in manufacturing support and verification activities.

What you need
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering or a related discipline
- Computer Aided Drafting/Design knowledge, both 3D (Inventor preferred) and 2D (AutoCAD)
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to meet project schedules and technical requirements in a prototype engineering environment
- Strong communication, time-management and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- 2 years of relevant engineering experience preferred
- Aviation background and aircraft interior experience preferred
- Familiarity with industry standard practices, materials, and component parts
- Understanding of manufacturing methodologies, design-for-manufacturing and assembly, costing, and material selection
