What you need
- A bachelor's degree in human services, business, education, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university (one year of qualifying experience may be substituted for each year, or 30 semester hours, of college, up to a maximum of two years)
- At least two years of experience in education, youth training, or workforce development programs
- Knowledge of classroom management strategies and demonstrated ability to develop interactive classroom presentations
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with secondary and postsecondary education and training providers, local employers, and youth
- Skilled and effective oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations, especially youth
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively
Nice to have
- Experience in workforce development or Career and Technical Education (CTE), preferably in gathering and reporting outcomes
- ISD experience as a teacher or counselor working with at-risk middle or high school populations
- Knowledge of the Deep East Texas region and its employers, community organizations, and workforce partners
- Bilingual or multilingual
- Training in Trauma Informed Care, evidence-based practice, and/or empathy-driven service delivery
