What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years of progressive nonprofit development experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing a multi-channel fundraising operation
- Demonstrated track record of building or rebuilding development infrastructure in an organization of $25M+ in annual revenue excluding government funds
- Deep expertise in CRM administration and development operations (Salesforce NPC)
- Direct experience leading or supporting comprehensive or capital campaigns ($25M+)

Nice to have
- Direct experience serving military, Veteran, or military-family-focused organizations
- CFRE, ACFRE, or equivalent professional credential
- Comfort and confidence in high-visibility, external-facing roles
Worth weighing
- Position requires travel several times per year for in-person gatherings, which may impact work-life balance
- Role is focused on operational leadership rather than direct frontline fundraising, which may not appeal to all candidates
- The organization is fully remote but requires in-person attendance for key events, which may not suit everyone
