What you need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program or Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field with substantial equivalent experience

  • Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) issued by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT)
  • Connecticut licensure as a Music Therapist, or eligibility to obtain licensure through the CT Department of Public Health
  • Connecticut teaching certification in Music, or eligibility for certification
  • Strong working knowledge of adaptive music strategies and differentiated instruction for diverse learners
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and positive behavior support practices and strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills
