About this role
As a Senior Packaging Engineer at Amperesand, you will be responsible for designing packaging solutions for incoming components to ensure their protection during domestic and international shipments. What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience designing packaging for components from concept to production
- Expertise in CAD modeling using 3D EXPERIENCE (CATIA 3DX/V5 or Solidworks preferred)
- Capability with CAE simulation tools such as Ansys
- Familiarity with packaging component manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM/DFA principles
Nice to have
- Familiarity with electronics packaging and PCBAs
- Experience defining packaging quality documents and supplier standards
- Experience working in Agile development environments, including task management and sprint planning using Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira
